WHAT IS CELSOS?

CELSOS is CENER´S ELECTROLUMINESCENCE SYSTEM ON-SITE.

CELSOS diagnoses the health of PV plants using the depth of analysis given by the Electroluminiscence technology together with the efficiency of aerial inspection and the power of the AI.

CELSOS has been developed by CENER by leveraging knowledge and experience in the photovoltaic technology for the last 20 years.

AERIAL ELECTROLUMINESCENCE INSPECTION OF THE PV PLANT

CELSOS aerial inspection combines state-of-the-art UAV technology for EL image capture with fastbiassing hardware and on-field procedures developed by CENER.

More than 4 MWp of inspected modules per night are now possible thanks to CELSOS aerial inspection!

KNOW MORE FEATURES
Drone with high stabilization features.
High speed InGaAs camera.
Special optical lenses and filters.
Multi-range DC power supply up to 15kW (1500V) to bias the modules at string level.
Customized suitcases for the automatic connection of the different strings.

Remote and synchronized control of the drone, the DC power supply, the connection suitcase, and the EL camera.

CELSOS ANALITICAL SOFTWARE

CELSOS Software takes advantage not only of the AI and machine learning technologies but of the vast experience of CENER laboratories of dealing with PV modules technologies and troubleshooting.

KNOW MORE FEATURES
Advanced processing of the EL frames captured on the field is included in order obtain the best possible EL image of every individual module inspected.
Automatic detection of modules borders, joined to functionalities for sharpness improvement and noise reduction are included.
Analysis of the EL image of every module is carried out up to cell level.
Artificial intelligence (AI) tools have been implemented to automatically detect and identify different types of defects.
Severity of detected defects is established regarding CENER’s experience or client’s criteria.

Diagnosis and influence of the defects in the
electrical performance of the module (at present
and in the near future). Come out.

Traceability of the results is perfectly guaranteed by GPS location of every EL image.

CELSOS INTERACTIVE PLATFORM

In addition to the standar technical repot, the client can access via web to an interactive map of the PV installation showing either aggregated inspection result and by module after the advanced analysis of the EL images captured in the field.

KNOW MORE FEATURES
Classification results shown regarding 2 different criteria:
– Type of defect: kinds of cracks, scratch, PID, corrosion,…
– Severity of defect: Minor, Major, Critical.
Results can be filtered according to different criteria: area, tracker, type of defect, severity of defect .
Freely movement though the map (Zoom-in, Zoom-out, rotation, etc).
Visualization of the EL image of each module, joined to its traceability data and the results of the in-depth analysis, just by clicking on the map.
EL images of selected modules can be maximized on the screen and exported in PNG format.

Exportation of all the data of selected modules on a CSV file.

Interactive graphics with the analysis results are shown and can be also exported.
